We Specialize in the Field of Nihonto, Tsuba and Tosogu Photography
Our scope of work includes:
- Photos for use in printed books and catalogs.
- Full range of web purpose photos for online use.
- Private collection archival services for both academic study and insurance purposes.
We have found that most people want a full set of photos for a sword. This consists of 8 photos in most cases. These photos include full length photos of both sides of the blade and three close ups per side (nakago, mid-blade and kissaki). This is the same photography format we use for the blades shown on our sales pages. A set of web sized photos and a set of full size high resolution photos are provided. The client gets the rights to the photos. The cost for the set of 16 photos is $350 per sword blade. This includes background removal and any needed post production work.
Tsuba, tosogu and koshirae rates are $50 per finished image. This also includes background removal and post work. A web size photo and a high resolution photo is provided for each image ordered.
