About this sword :   This is a nice katana by the Sandai Osaka Tamba Yoshimichi. This made around Genroku (1688-1704). Sandai Osaka Tamba Yoshimichi is a well regarded maker and comes from the famous Mishina line of Tanba Yoshimich smiths. The NBTHK Hozon paper that accompanies this blade specifies "Osaka". This blade is in full polish. It has a solid silver falling rain habaki and a nice shirasaya. Overall, this blade has a wonderful old charm. Especially the midare utsuri is lovely. This is a zaimei ubu katana, in full polish and with a NBTHK Hozon paper. A joy to study and attractively priced.
