A highly desirable large shin-maru-gata Namban tsuba. 90mm x 90mm. This guard has a lot of intertwined sukashi work and nice nunome details. A bold work with a lot of visual interest. Kaku-mimi ko-niku. This is in fine condition and retains its original patina. This tsuba was once part of a museum collection. It has a museum inventory number inside the nakago-ana. An excellent example of Namban tsuba.
