About this sword :   This a powerful Nanbokucho naginata naoshi that has been attributed to den Sekishu Sadatsuna. This work of this smith is such a joy to study. His father, Naotsuna has been listed as one of Masamune's Juttetsu since olden days. The actual relationship between Masamune and Naotsuna is thought by modern scholars not to be a direct teacher/student relationship based on dated works but, none the less, his work is certainly top class Soshu of the Nambokucho jidai. This naginata naoshi is only one generation away from the Juttetsu and presents a fantastic opportunity to study Soshu den. This blade is in good old polish. There are some scratches on the ji in the monouchi, There are a few kitae ware as shown in the photos. For those of us that love Jo saku koto works, they are not a bother. This passed Tokubetsu Hozon and also comes with a older deluxe style shira saya , fine double gold wrapped habaki and a storage bag. A great opportunity to own a 90 point Jo Saku maker.
