Kitae :  Very tight ko-itame becoming muji hada. There is ample ji-nie. Ji-nie is made up of uniform ko-nie and can even be seen along the shinogi-ji here and there.

About this sword :   Ujiharu was originally from Katayama in Bitchu province. Later, he moved to Okayama in Bizen province and became a swordsmith for the governor of Okayama. Most of his production spans from 1865 -1877. This blade has an NBTHK Tokubetsu Kicho Token paper that was issued in 1980 at the Dallas Shinsa. Tokubetsu Kicho was the highest ranking one could obtain at that shinsa. There are very light scratches, tiny nicks and minor blemishes on the blade. None of these present any problem for restoration. Irregardless, the quality of the old polish is good and one can certainly appreciate the workmanship in its current state. It comes with a the NBTHK Tokubetsu Kicho paper, black lacquered (recently re-lacquered) shira saya and a nice gold foil habaki. This blade has wonderful workmanship and no flaws.

Price: $6300
