A Nerikawa tsuba. This tsuba is lacquered leather over soft metal, probably yamagane. This example does not appear to have had a fukurin. Moku-gata. The leather is fully intact and in great condition for its age. It is very had to find an exmaple of this style in good condtion. A rare tsuba and a nice example of Nerikawa workmanship.
