A large Kyo Sukashi tsuba from the Momoyama period. This shows clearly the elegance of Kyo style. The motif consists of warabite and inome (heart shapes that are actually boars eyes). There are granular and liner tekkotsu. The patina is well preserved. This comes with a NBTHK Hozon paper that attributes the work as Kyo Sukashi. A classic and charming example.
