Boshi :   Ichimai with a long return. Boshi is full of nie hataraki.

Kitae :   Ko-itame with light utsuri and ji-nie. There is tobiyaki and muneyaki.

About this sword :   This is a nice koto wakizashi that has been attributed to the Kaga Fujishima school by the NBTHK. This blade shows strong features of Fujishima workmanship. Especially the hako midare (box shape midare) and strong Bizen flavor in nie deki. The sugata of this blade is that of the early to mid Muromachi period. Its workmanship is also more typical of early Fujishima rather than later Muromachi works. This blade has many activities to study and it is the kind of blade one can gain solid empirical knowledge from due to its text book Fujishima style and text-book, graceful, Oei sugata. This is in full polish and was professorially restored in Japan. It comes with a nice shira saya, solid silver habaki, storage bag and a NBTHK Hozon paper.
