This is a particularity fine example of Hirado work. The takabori of a dragon chasing a rinpo on the omote and peony on the ura is skilfully done. The mimi features classic Hirado style decoration of clouds. The shinchu ji is in excellent condition. This has nice shakudo sekigane, showing that this guard has been both esteemed and well cared for. A high quality item that we are delighted to recommend.
