A charming Choshu Tsuba of high quality in excellent condition. This is iron sukashi with takabori. The workmanship is very impressive. The leaves are quite realistic in appearance and the wide mimi of graduated depth gives the work a bold feeling. It should be noted that this is a very representative work. Considering that its is also zaimei and accompanied by a NBTHK Hozon paper, it is an ideal Choshu example in every way.
